In Motion Technology Expands Footprint with Insight Enterprises
Distribution partnership takes mobile communications tools to municipalities and public safety organizations
VANCOUVER, BC – December 10, 2007 – In Motion Technology, a leader in vehicle area networks for public safety organizations, and Insight Enterprises, Inc., a leading IT hardware, software and services provider, announced today a North American distribution partnership with Insight’s public sector sales division, Insight Public Sector (IPS). Through this agreement, public sector institutions in North America now have access to In Motion products.

In Motion Technology’s onBoard Mobile Gateway provides ambulances and other public safety vehicles with mobile, secure, wireless local area networks, called “vehicle area networks.” The Gateway senses and selects the best available wireless network, enabling first responders to access and disseminate information from the field. In Motion Technology’s onBoard Mobility Manager monitors vehicle locations and manages the mobile network, helping public safety organizations improve response times.
