Kirk Moir
President and Chief Executive Officer, Founder
Kirk Moir co-founded In Motion Technology in 2002. As president and CEO, he is responsible for day to day operations and investment strategy. He also plays an integral role in product management and marketing. Prior to In Motion, Kirk was senior director of marketing with Acterna, a global leader in telecom test and management products. Before that, he held increasingly responsible development, delivery and marketing positions with MPR Teltech and Applied Digital Access specializing in network management software products for large service providers. Kirk has a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the University of Manitoba.
Larry LeBlanc
Chief Technology Officer and Founder
Larry LeBlanc serves as chief technology officer for In Motion Technology. In this role, he is responsible for the company’s technology initiatives including strategic planning, product development and software engineering. Prior to co-founding In Motion in 2002, Larry held several senior positions at Acterna designing, implementing and deploying carrier class operational support systems for tier one telecommunication service providers including Telecom New Zealand, Telus, Sprint and AT&T. Larry’s technical expertise spans more than 16 years in software engineering, networking, customer support and staff development. He is an experienced distributed communications systems expert and has led the architectural design of many innovative systems including the world's first distributed Java fault management application for MCI/Worldcom. Larry has a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the University of Manitoba.
Ed Ho
Vice President, Operations and Founder
Ed Ho currently serves as vice president of operations for In Motion Technology. In this role, he is responsible for hardware engineering and operations. Prior to co-founding In Motion in 2002, Ed served as director of engineering – Software Systems for Acterna, where he managed the overall product development in the Service Fulfillment product line and site operations of the Burnaby Facility. Before that, he was director of engineering – Software Management Systems at Applied Digital Access. With more than 20 years of experience developing advanced data and telecom service management solutions, Ed has a proven track record of a results focused leader with strong organizational and analytical skills. Ed has successfully deployed systems for leading companies including Time Warner, Citizens Communications, Williams, Nextlink, Verizon, GTE, NASA and the Vancouver Stock Exchange. He has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of British Columbia.
Anthony (Tony) Morris
Vice President, Sales & Marketing
As vice president of sales and marketing for In Motion Technology, Tony is responsible for overall sales and marketing strategies, and developing and implementing programs to best serve In Motion Technology’s various target markets. With more than 20 years in the data communications industry, Tony has a proven track record of successfully positioning and delivering products to market and developing business opportunities while focusing on the bottom line. Previously, Tony was vice president of sales – IP solutions for MetaSolv Software, Inc., where he managed all IP-related product sales in North America, South America and Asia Pacific. Prior to MetaSolv, he served as director of systems engineering and business development for Laurel Networks. He has an honors degree in Cybernetics and Control from Reading University in the United Kingdom.
David Birarda
Vice President, Business Development
As vice president of business development for In Motion Technology, Dave is responsible for accelerating In Motion’s development of new market opportunities. A veteran of the communications technology industry, Dave has worked extensively in product development, marketing and sales of systems used by the telecommunications carriers and private radio network operators. While working at GTE, MPR Teltech, M/A-COM and IPMobileNet, he has previously directed all aspects of business operations, most recently serving in executive roles in sales and business development. Dave is a graduate of the Electrical Engineering program at Carleton University in Ottawa.
